Inspired by the tomb of the famous Sufi saint, Shah Rukn-i-Alam
in Multan, the tapering walls in brick accord the new buildings
a massive, squat solidity. They were completed and opened on
15 August, 1987 and now house the Alhamra Art Gallery, two theatre
halls, an auditorium and the administrative offices of the Lahore
Arts Council. |
